Let that sink in for a second.

HOW COOL IS THAT? That’s pretty effin’ cool.

So anyway, he was happy I liked the show so much and asked if I could let folks know that, in Vegas, it’s on Monday through Friday at 7:30 AM and 1:30 PM on KLVX (channel 10). Peep also is available in Spanish on V-ME (http://ninos.vmetv.com/peep). It’s on everywhere else on public television but you’d have to check your local listings. And, if you can’t find it on your local station, it’s on Discovery Kids AND online at http://www.peepandthebigwideworld.com/videos/ .

I love this show because it’s so simple but yet thorough. There’s Peep, who is a yellow chick, Chirp, which is a red bird, and Quack, who is a blue / purple duck.

And it’s narrated by JOAN CUSACK. I like her.

On the website, they have projects and science-y things for kids to do. In fact, they have a lot of things for kids to do. Check out the huge list here.

We did a mixture of Bathtub Boats and Guessing What Floats. Kiddopants correctly determined what would float and what would sink except for one miss and that was probably because he was busy with his foil boat that I had squished together that he was putting his cars in. I have pictures but I’d have to crop out the nudity since we did this in the tub during bath time.

I’d been wishing for a list of things to do with Kiddopants in the afternoons so this was perfect timing. I think tomorrow we’ll do Melting Ice Cubes and Friday we’ll do Making Tracks since I’m generally feeling more adventurous on Fridays.

The eyes.

Last weekend, my family (including my mom) drove to California to see my sister get married in a redwood forest. It was really pretty.

I drove a lot. I’m very tired. We are flying the next time we go anywhere that’s not to visit The Husband’s Mom in Utah.

This weekend is a garage sale for my friend that moved to Hawaii and for another friend who’s moving back home to England. I plan to be totally exhausted by Monday.

I’m too stressed to write much at the moment. My plans to be a mommyblogger have been put aside in the interest of my sanity.

I’m tired. I mean really, really extra tired. I’m not eating well because I’m sad and I’m going to be sad that I’m not eating well any day now. I miss my friend who moved this last Monday. It’s like when Kyria moved all over again – I’m kind of lost and wandering and not really doing a whole lot besides trying not to mope.

I can’t mope – both my friends are in the places they want to be (or Carolyn will be there the end of this month). Kyria moved her family where it was better and now Carolyn is getting there too. I can’t be mad, I can’t be miffed, because I want to do the same thing.

But I’ve kinda been left behind. Again. So, mope.

Kids are both great. Kiddobutt is up to another growth spurt and is probably teething.

Here’s a side note – the Baby Orajel stuff is INSTANT. I licked my finger after applying it to Kiddobutt’s gums and WHAM, my tongue ceased to exist to me. I didn’t even have time to take my finger away before it worked.

Kiddopants is running, playing, asking who’s a boy and a girl (or, rather, stating it and looking to me for confirmation) and giving Kiddobutt things to play with. And hugs. And pets.

And throwing tantrums all too often. That part makes me sad because instead of helping him through it, I get mad and that’s no help to anybody. I’m working on calming down, though, and just taking a breath before I do anything.

I am so tired. The only reason I’m up right now is because I have to pump a lot of milk for Sunday because I’ll be gone all day helping someone move.

I’m going to try to go to bed now.

Leaving as in moving to that island part of the US.

So.

She leaves tomorrow and I’m not sure how to not be bummed. She says not to be sad but really? Really.

I did draw two more comics for the Moments Comics thing but I haven’t scanned them.

That’s about it. I’m just sort of skimming along the top of everything for a while until I settle down and get back into the groove.

I am a perfect example of a human being, with my perceived flaws and what I consider problems, and it makes me happy to have such a designation.

Also…

You are perfect.

You know that person in the office, the one that always bugs you in some way but you can’t or won’t say anything to them about it, the one you talk about to other coworkers and you all nod and agree that THAT PERSON is annoying or stupid or hilariously oblivious? Or the driver that did something to make you clench your teeth and grip the steering wheel in anger and yell at them for being a dangerous idiot? They, too, are perfect.

Or the person who dresses funny or smells bad or is just clumsy or always seems to fail at life?
When you talk about them in a demeaning manner, what you’re doing is putting down perfection.

In a strange twist, that exemplifies your own perfection, but not in the way that you intended.

Think about it.
Every individual on this planet, every. single. person. is perfect. Just because you may think they are wrong or find their actions atrocious does not make them any less of a one-hundred-percent perfect specimen of human nature, nor does it deny you the status of perfect human by feeling so.

There is no limit to the range of perfection; compare somebody born without health problems with one who was born with a crippling deformity – neither is more or less than the other. They both encompass the sheer diversity that being human implies. Look at one person who becomes a millionaire and then at one who lives on the street. Equal in their humanity and beautiful in their example of it. Or compare a Tibetan monk with a prison-bound murderer; neither is better than the other at being human.

Skin color is different than yours? One of the strongest, most visible examples of diversity and one to be proud of.
Beliefs differ from yours? Be thankful that we can have such an open, limitless availability of beliefs to choose from and the nature to change them at will AND that we are even able to change them. How can one get more perfect than that?
Murderer, thief, abuser, junkie, all showing us just how human we can be. Those actions not your cup of tea? They could be had you been born in a different city, state, country, culture, mindset, or family line. Just as easily as you judge someone else could you have been that person.

Be proud of who you are, not of who you aren’t.

And be proud of being completely, one-hundred-percent, wonderfully and inexorably perfect, just like everybody else.
